***** FLEXTONE III ** STAGE BOARD with ENHANCED SOUND EDITION ******* This SysEx is for a stage or studio use, ( you can calls the 36 patches of the Flex) with enhanced editing parameters ability. *** GENERAL ORGANIZATION *** The 10 banks of the FCB1010 are set as following: BANKS: #0 - #3 --> Select individual tones of the Flex III ( #0 ----> 'A' tones, #1 ----> 'B' tones, etc...) #4 - #5 --> Amp select with Drive, Volume and Comp + Gate control #6 - #7 --> Reverbs #8 --> Modulations #9 --> Delays The order of the setting operations may be easily changed if you need. Just edit the SysEx file with the FCB Editor and change the banks order with the Copy bank feature ( Swap option ) ------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT WARNING: ON/OFF TOGGLES All toggle pedals are set: 1rst press: On 2nd press: Off or 1rst press: Pre 2nd press: Post for Mod & Delay But, for ALL 'Toggle pedals', if you press another pedal after setting a toggle 'On' ( for tweaking or changing options.. and so on ), the FCB don't 'remember' you pressed the toggle once...! So, in this case, you have to press the pedal TWICE to get the 'Off' option if you come back after... This is a real limitation of the FCB.... But I guess you know what you're doing when pressing a pedal to set something 'On'... :-) ------------------------------------------------------- *** OPERATIONS DETAIL *** ** Banks #0 - #3 Flex III tones select ** Instead of being organized as in the Flex ( 9 banks of 4 tones A,B,C,D), tones are organized as 4 banks of 9 tones.. So, the #0 bank is for the 'A' sounds ( A1 to A9) the #1 bank is for the 'B' sounds ( B1 to B9) and so on. Each pedal is also a 'Loop On/Off' toggle ( First press: Loop On.. this is the default setting 2nd press: Loop Off ) Expr pedal A & B control the Drive (A) and Channel volume( B) . #0/10 is a Wah toggle (On/Off). Pressing the pedal enables the Wah with the control on the B pedal ( Channel volume replaced ) Note that switching the Wah Off will let the pedal B disabled... This is a FCB limitation and cannot be fixed. In this case, the only way to recover the B pedal 'Channel volume' control is to press a #1 to #9 pedal...( switch to the original tone settings ) NB: During the Editing process, the Flex will stay on the selected tone... So, you can save your Edited sound by pressing the lit button for 5 seconds.. ** Banks 4 & 5 Amp model select + Comp & Gate ** In each bank (4 & 5 ), the Amp models are located on pedals # 1 to 8.. The pedals act as toggles: 1rst press: Yellow amp 2nd press: Alt Red model ==> 16 models in each bank, in the same order as with the 'Amp model' Knob Exp pedals A & B let you set the amp settings as follow: Pedal A Pedal B #1-8: Drive/Vol Drive Volume #9: Gate On/Off.. Treshold Decay #0:: Comp On/Off Treshold Gain NB: Each amp is loaded with its default settings, which include all settings apart Delay & Modulation... ** Banks 6 & 7 Reverbs ** In each bank ( 6 & 7 ), the Reverb types are located on pedals # 1 to 8, in the same order as in the manual See Flex III manual - Appendix D- Note 7 for the Reverb models available Pressing pedals 1 to 8 set the reverb ON with the corresponding reverb model Pedal A Pedal B #1 to 8: Level Decay #9: Pre Delay Tone #0: Reverb Off (#8 unused in 2nd bank) ** Bank #8 Modulations ** Pressing pedals 1 to 6 set the mod ON and Tweak & 2nd function are available on A & B exp pedals Caution: the operations order is important for a good working Always: 1) select the Type 2) set the Delay Pre/Post ( if necessary ) 3) then tweak either #7 &/or #8 settings #1 to #6: Mod type ( same order as with the mod button ) Pedal A Pedal B #1 to #6: Mod On Tweak Mod 2nd function ( see manual 2.5 ) #7: Mod Vol Mix/Note value Vol/mix Note value (*) #8: Mod settings P3/P4 Param 3 Param 4 (*) #9: Mod Pre/Post Tweak Mod 2nd function ( see manual 2.5 ) (TOGGLE if necessary, set it just AFTER selecting the Mod type) #0: Mod Off ** Bank #9 Delays ** Pressing pedals 1 to6 set the delay ON and Tweak & Feedback are available on A & B exp pedals Caution: the operations order is important for a good working Always: 1) select the Type 2) set the Delay Pre/Post ( if necessary ) 3) then tweak either #7 &/or #8 settings ( including Tap tempo ) #1 to #6: Delay type ( same order as with the delay button ) Pedal A Pedal B #1 to #6: Delay On Tweak Feedback #7:Delay Vol Mix/Note value Vol/mix Note value (*) #8: Delay settings P3/P4 Param 3 Param 4 (*) #9: Delay Pre/Post Tweak Feedback (TOGGLE if necessary, set just AFTER selecting the Delay type) #0: Delay Off Note: The 'Tap Tempo' function is available on either #7 or #8 pedals.
