PODxt (Pro) V 2 releasenotes... 27-07-2004
PODxt / PODxt Pro Version 2 release notes v2.01 27 Jul 04 Changes/Bug Fixes: Resolved a DSP issue that caused a soft reset when loading particular combinations of Amp Models/Effects Models Preset 7C - EJ Clean - was altered to use only models found in the base model set (it previously used a model from the FX Junkie model pack); The output level of several presets was changed to eliminate clipping Metal Shop amp model default settings were improved - the actual models were not changed
All Studio Direct mode cabinet/mic models replaced with improved models. 4 additional Amp models:
2 additional Cab models:
Support for Model Packs expansion added. 4 band semi-parametric EQ added (loads with Amp Setups as well as Channels). The EQ is inserted in the signal chain prior to the Channel Volume. New Compressor Model added, providing automatic gain compensation as Threshold is decreased. Compressor Gain [augments threshold-driven makeup gain] parameter range changed to 0 to +16 dB. Compressor moved ahead of Channel Volume control in signal flow. Increased number of User Channel memory locations to 128. Factory patch recall functions removed. Soft buttons no longer select Channels in Play mode. New Toggle functions indicate their state by reversing text/background color in LCD. A) Toggles Manual mode
Brit J-800 model replaced with improved model. Mod and Delay Models reworked to optimize Feedback characteristics, provide more consistent Wet levels and to improve behavior in Post position with high-gain Amp Models. Channel Presets and Amp Setups reworked to accommodate new models. New Effect Setups. Compressor/Gate edit page indicates Bypassed state for each of the 2 effects. Bose PS1 [Live] Output mode added. USB firmware version and Electronic Serial Number displayed on the software version page (last System page under Tuner/Sys button). Improved encoder response when selecting Destination Channel in Save page 1. FBV / FBV Shortboard changes/fixes: Minimum Volume parameter [requires attached FBV/FBV Shortboard] added (MIDI CC 46) Pedal Assign functionality improved [Pedal 1 Tweak option added, display more informative] and parameter moved to last Edit page. Removed 15-second timeout (reverted to previous mode if no A,B,C or D Channel selected) following Bank Up or Bank Down on FBV/FBV Shortboard. Stepping on any switch other than A, B, C or D will exit "Bank Select" mode. (PODxt Pro only): Volume Pedal routing parameter now functions correctly following Tuner mode exit. MIDI changes/fixes: Smoother audio when Reverb Mix (CC 18) MIDI control changes received (Auto-On accompanying reception of first non-zero value remains). Reception of MIDI CC 12 loads Amp model without loading other Amp Setup parameter values (Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence, Channel Volume, Cab Model, Mic Model, Room, EQ On/Off state and EQ Frequency/Gain parameters). MIDI program change messages 0-127 transmitted/received for loading 128 Channels; Tuner and Manual mode changes are no longer associated with received or transmitted Program Changes. Out-of-range values received over MIDI for Delay and Mod Note value parameters (CCs 31 & 51) and Tweak Destination parameter (CC 108) are ignored instead of setting value to maximum available parameter value. Known issues/behaviors: Pedal Tweak actions not updating in Edit mode display (unlike Wah position, Tweak pedal position changes do not visually update values of Tweak destination parameter.) If Option 2 of Pedal Assign parameter [Pedal 1 = Tweak] is selected, when actuating toe-switch of FBV Shortboard's onboard Pedal [Pedal 1], Wah is toggled On [Tweak Off] without pedal sweep (a la parked Wah). The Wah position parameter value is used, independent of pedal position. Alternate toe-switch actuations restore Pedal 1 to Tweak function [Wah Off]. Asterisk (*) not appearing in Play mode display to indicate that Edit Buffer has been altered following an EQ reset (pressing the 2 leftmost soft buttons simultaneously in EQ Edit page). Some System Exclusive operations fail via hardware MIDI ports when USB is connected and in use for MIDI communications. (workaround: power-cycle the unit to reset MIDI ports) Transmitted/received MIDI Program Changes are shifted -1 relative to previous revisions (Channel A1= Program 00) more info Source: Line 6 / vettaville.nl | ||
