Known Issues:

• Automation will write in Logic / Garage Band, however when bouncing automation parameters are ignored.
• When using DAW automation to change model types all model parameter settings revert to their default settings. Work around is to instantiate POD Farm on separate tracks for alternating amp/effect setups or automate all parameters after a automating a model change.
• Loaded presets which include unauthorized cabinet models do not provide a graphic indication that the model is not active. The user must look at the drop down menu to know if the cabinet model is available or not. A user will never be able to create a preset (from scratch) which includes a model which is not owned. To  avoid presets consisting unauthorized models, sort the preset browser’s metadata by “Own All Models”.
• Jerky knob behavior in Digital Performer 6 when using the mouse to adjust parameters. Work around is to use a mouse wheel for knob adjustments.
• Not all automation parameters are available in Ableton Live's automation menu. Ableton Live is designed to display 128 automation parameters.
• Functionality may be limited in some hosts (Tracktion, Melodyne).
• Dual tones created in POD Farm will not open in Gearbox if using any device besides a POD X3. Only Tone 1 will load. (If you create a dual tone in POD Farm only Tone 1 will load into Gearbox if you are using a TonePort, POD XT or, GuitarPort device).
• POD Farm may not find previously installed GearBox presets by default. Clicking the refresh button in the "Presets" view will show the presets properly.
• If you create a preset with an amp and then delete that amp and perform a "Save As", you'll notice the deleted amp is called out in the "Save Tone As" window. This is just a GUI issue and your preset has been saved with no amp.
  

Mac Exclusive:

• Clicking on a tone icon will automatically launch Gearbox if it is also installed on your computer. You need to manually associate tones on your Mac to open using POD Farm. Right click or CTRL click on the icon and select "Open With."

I already purchased the Gearbox plug in. Am I entitled to a free upgrade to POD Farm?

Yes. POD Farm is available as a free download to everyone who owns the GearBox plug-in including TonePort DI owners. POD Farm plug-in will also be available for FREE to POD X3, POD X3 Live and POD X3 Pro owners.

How do I get it?

POD Farm is now a factory-enabled feature available free for POD X3, POD X3 Live, POD X3 Pro, TonePort DI, and TonePort UX8. Be sure your Line 6 Monkey software is up-to-date, then launch it and press the Factory Features button.

If you purchased the GearBox? Plug-in as an Add-on from the Line 6 Online Store, then you may obtain POD Farm plug-in functionality at no charge (additional models not included) by running the Line 6 Monkey software utility, click Optional Add-Ons tab, click Activate Purchase button, then type refresh in the activation key window and click Activate button.


I own an older GuitarPort/TonePort/XT device and never purchased the Gearbox plug in. How much will the POD Farm plug in cost for me?

What is POD Farm?

POD Farm is Line 6?s new plug-in software platform that will offer POD tone to any DAW. For use with either a Line 6 hardware interface or iLok dongle, POD Farm can easily be used with all the major software recording platforms (such as, Pro Tools, Ableton, Cubase, Nuendo, Garageband and more) and is available in Mac® AU/RTAS®/VST® and Windows® RTAS®/VST® formats.

Can POD Farm be used with my older generation TonePort?

Yes. POD Farm will work with all TonePort devices as a plug in and can also be used in Stand Alone mode. POD Farm

Can POD Farm be used with my POD XT or POD X3 device?

POD Farm is compatible with our POD XT and X3 devices as a plug in only. It cannot be used as a standalone editor for your POD. Gearbox will remain the primary editor for all POD XT and X3 devices.

Is GuitarPort Online compatible with POD Farm?

Currently, our GuitarPort Online subscription service is not available through the POD Farm software. GPO subscribers must continue to use Gearbox for this service.

Can I have Gearbox and POD Farm installed simultaneously on my computer?

Yes. You can continue to use Gearbox as a plug in or stand alone application if you wish while having POD Farm installed on your system as well.

What about my current recording projects that have the Gearbox plug in instantiated on them? Will they still work?

Absolutely. You can continue to use Gearbox as a plug in if you'd prefer. Your projects will not be harmed.

Will my Gearbox tones work with POD Farm?

Yes. POD Farm will load all of your Gearbox presets just fine. You can continue to use them.
