DT25 - DT25 Free V. 2.0 update available... 30-10-2012 Comments (0)
Line 6 Expands Versatility of DT-series Amplifiers with Free v2.0 Firmware Update New HD preamps and configuration options transform DT50 and DT25 into boutique amp factories Rugby, UK—October 30, 2012—Line 6, Inc. today announced the release of DT50™/DT25™ v2.0 firmware, a free update that dramatically expands the number of HD preamps and gives musicians unprecedented ability to create unique amp voicings. Co-designed by Line 6 and tube-amp guru Reinhold Bogner, DT series guitar amplifiers combine reconfigurable analog topologies with Line 6 technology to provide boutique feel and sonic versatility. The v2.0 firmware update expands the HD preamp count from four to 30, and gives users the ability to create unique amp tones by pairing any preamp with any combination of dynamic topologies (negative feedback loop, operating class, power tube mode, and more) within Reinhold Bogner’s reconfigurable tube power amp. Musicians can load a DT amp with up to eight unique voicings (four on channel A, plus four on channel B), providing a wide array of tones for performance and recording. They can also connect a POD® HD multi-effects to access even more custom voicings. The new firmware update also lets musicians configure each voicing with a choice of 12 reverbs, each with unique parameter settings. Switching between Channel A and Channel B now includes reverb spillover, which lets the reverb finish its decay. In addition, DT50 amp owners have the option of setting the 12AX7 boost per amp model. DT50/DT25 firmware v2.0 is now available. It can be downloaded via the Line 6 Monkey Intelligent Updater software and requires a USB-to-MIDI interface. Customers can control the enhanced MIDI functionality from an iPhone® or iPad® by adding a Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer™ II interface (and Touch OSC, MIDI Memo Recorder, or any other compatible MIDI app). Alternately, they can use a Mac® or PC computer with a USB-to-MIDI interface and compatible software capable of sending MIDI CC information. Learn more at line6.com/dtv2update/

LINE 6 SHIPS DT25™ GUITAR AMPLIFIERS
“DT25 is like four boutique tube amps in one,” remarked Elliot Chenault, Line 6 Product Manager. “Bogner’s innovative design applies reconfigurable analog components to provide incredible sonic flexibility and the rich tone, feel and touch response his amps are known for.” The new amplifiers provide guitarists with four guitar amp voicings, or sonic signatures: American clean, British crunch, Class A chime and modern high-gain. Each voicing is the perfect combination of negative feedback loop topology and HD preamp and tone stack modeling. Add to that the reconfigurable operating class (Class AB/25 Watts/Fixed Bias or Class A/10 Watts/Cathode Biased) and power tube mode (Pentode or Triode) and guitarists can dial in classic vintage tones or highly customized originals of their own creation. The simple, two-channel design provides uncommon flexibility. Each channel is independent – not “clean” or “dirty” – and any configuration of voicing, operating class and power tube mode can be dialed in to either channel. A flick of the A/B switch (or a tap of a latching footswitch) is capable of causing a full analog and digital transformation. DT25 amplifiers feature L6 LINK™ jacks for connection to new Line 6 POD® HD multi-effect processors. When connected, the POD HD adds effects, additional amp voicings, foot control and instant scalability (including stereo operation with multiple DT25 amplifiers). The amplifiers’ back panels also feature MIDI I/O, a serial effect loop, multiple speaker outs and a direct out with cabinet simulation, which provides the rich DT25 tone without having to mic the speaker. DT25 amplifiers feature one 12AX7 and two EL84 tubes, custom-voiced Celestion® G12H90 speakers, and modeled spring reverb with individual level control per channel. DT25 - DT25 amplifier information (Head)... 26-09-2011 Comments (0)
DT25 25W/10W Guitar Amplifier Head by Line 6 information DT25™ - Four boutique tube amps in one • Boutique sound and performance
The powerful combination of reconfigurable analog components and HD modeling allows the DT25 amp to be four boutique tube amps in one capable of producing stunning American cleans, British crunch, class A chime and modern high-gain. Selectable operating class, power tube mode and four Voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling) can dial in classic vintage tones or be shaped into highly customized originals – and each one drips with boutique tone and touch-response. The DT25 amp gets to the point. It’s a simple, two-channel amp with a streamlined front panel. But if you connect a POD® HD multi-effect pedal or POD® HD Pro multi-effect rack to this little monster the two integrate to become a boutique tube amp factory! Connected via exclusive L6 LINK™ technology, the DT25 amp and POD® multi-effect rewrite the traditional amp/multi-effect paradigm and introduce powerful new concepts in control and customization. Add effects, additional amp voicings, foot control and instant scalability (including stereo operation with multiple DT25 amplifiers). DT25 is the perfect pairing for POD HD multi-effects. The days of plugging a POD® into the front of an amp are over! Revolutionary Bogner tube design meets Line 6 HD modeling
• Voicing I: Classic American Clean (tight negative feedback loop)
Selectable operating class and power tube mode
• Selectable operating classes – Class AB/25 watts/fixed bias; Class A/10 watts/cathode biased
Any two amps you want, separated by a single channel switch
For example, set Channel A to a California clean tone. It can be complete with a high amount of negative feedback for a tight sound, characteristic class AB headroom and plenty of pentode-powered body. Set Channel B to deliver vintage Class A chime with zero negative feedback for an open, dynamic feel. Triode mode darkens the tone a bit and rounds off the edges, and Class A operation provides no shortage of touch sensitivity when you dig in with your pick. That’s total analog and digital reconfiguration in one touch. DT25 amplifier + POD HD multi-effect = Boutique tube amp factory
• Automatic analog configuration. Select a POD HD amp model or preset and the DT25 analog components will automatically configure themselves to the appropriate operating class, biasing method, negative feedback topology and power tube mode. • Save custom analog configurations. Saving your custom DT25 configurations is as easy as saving POD HD presets. Tweak the DT25 amp settings, press Save on the POD HD multi-effect and incredibly unique and complex amp configurations can be recalled instantly. • No ground loops. You’ll never get ground loop hum from an L6 LINK connection!
