***** POD_Xt 8x8 and POD_Xt 8x8 Mix ******* These SysEx enable 8 different patches per bank (FCB1010 ones ) organized in 8 banks ( banks #1 to #8 ) 4 tones on lower pedals #1 to #4, ( odd banks of the PODxT ) 4 tones on upper pedals #6 to #9 ( even banks of the Xt ) with an 'extra' feature:the 'Manual foot setting mode' on bank #0 and #9 The Volume control is on the left pedal(A) and the Wah on the right one (B) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Banks 1 to 8 ** --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A) Patch Pedals:Each row matches a POD Xt bank: FCB bank #1: lower pedals (#1 to #4) => 1A to 1D upper pedals (#6 to #9) => 2A to 2D FCB bank #2: lower: 3A to 3D upper: 4A to 4D etc........................... FCB bank #8: lower: 15A to 15D upper: 16A to 16D WARNING.. Each patch pedal is a toggle: 1st press -> selects the patch with STOMP Off 2nd press sets STOMP On and so on... So, when you select a patch, the STOMP is set Off, even if it is On in the POD patch This is necessary because of a FCB limitation: when a patch is called, there is no way for the FCB to know which is the actual setting: On or Off ? So, I made this choice: it is necessary to press the patch pedal twice to get the stomp 'On' If you need the reverse, just exchange the two values (0 & 127) of CC1 & CC2.. It can be done very fast with the FCB Editor, (preset & bank copy features).. But in this case, every patch will be called with stomp 'On'(even if it was set Off in the patch), and you will need to press twice to get it Off IMPORTANT NOTE: The POD_Xt 8 x8 Mix SysEx file has both the 2 ways: Odd POD banks ( lower row ) patches come with Stomp Off Even POD banks ( upper row ) patches come with Stomp ON (All still act as a toggle ) B) Function pedals #5: Tap #10/0: Wah On/Off (1rst press: On 2nd: Off ) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Bank #0 and #9 'Extra' feature : Editing mode ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Their purpose is editing some parameters without using the control panel knobs. Setting these controls either in #0 or #9 allows more speed access ( #0 if you are in #1 to #4 banks #9 "" #5 to #8 "" ) Pedals #1 to #4: A.I.R. settings ( both volume and wah pedals keep active) #1: Shure SM 57 #2: Shure SM 57 Off axis #3: MD 421 #4: U-67 #5: Tuner On/Off #6 to #0: (1rst press: On 2nd: Off ) exp pedal A exp pedal B #6: Comp Gain Threshold #7: Mod Vol/Mix Param 1 #8: Delay Vol/Mix Param 1 #9: Reverb Rev Mix Decay #0: Gate Threshold Decay
