How to calibrate your (FBV) Floorboard (and Shortboard)

There are two explainations beneath on how to do this

The first is on calibrating the Line 6 Footpedals and the second one handels the calibration of an (external) volume pedal attached to the FBV Shortboard. Here's Nr. 1

Put both pedals at halfway.

1. (on the FBV) Press Amp1, Amp2, Pitchshift together - this clears the current settings

2. Press Amp1, Amp2, Delay together - the FBV display should show a letter (L)eft donoting which pedal you're doing then several sets of 3 digits
- 001-255 actual position of pedal
- 001-127 normalised position of pedal (re: midi)
- Min
- Max
Move pedal to full heel down then toe down to click the switch - pedal is set

3. Press Amp1, Amp2, Modulation together - display should change to denote (R)ight pedal is now being set.

4. Power the FBV down & plug it back in

ready.

The first is on calibrating the Line 6 Footpedals and the second one handels the calibration of an (external) volume pedal attached to the FBV Shortboard. Here's Nr. 2

The pedal input on the FBV Shortboard is really designed for an expression pedal, not a volume pedal, however...
Here are the calibration instructions for the pedals (you really should calibrate both at the same time):

1. Move both pedals to their center positions roughly halfway between the MAX and MIN position.

2. Press BANK DOWN+MODULATION+DELAY and hold for three seconds. This will reset the calibration values for the pedals to their default values.

3. Press STOMP+DELAY+REVERB and hold for three seconds. This will now display the pedal information for the LEFT INTERNAL PEDAL.

4. Move the pedal to its MIN position and press down (pedal all the way heel down).
Move the pedal to its MAX position (pedal all the way toe down) and press down hard enough to actuate the pedal’s toe switch.

5. Check the range on the MAX (number displayed on right hand side of display) and MIN (number displayed second from right hand side of display). MIN should be 000, MAX should be 127

6. Move the pedal to its MIN position. With the pedal just sitting there, check the number displayed in the second column (111). It should read 000. Press the pedal down at the heel position. This number should still read 000.

7. Press BANK DOWN+STOMP+DELAY and hold for three seconds. This will now display the pedal information for the RIGHT EXTERNAL PEDAL.

8. Repeat steps 4 through 6 only for the RIGHT EXTERNAL PEDAL.
You just calibrated the pedals.

No real guarantee that a non-expression pedal is going to set up properly, because, it's designed for use with an expression pedal.
