Taking the Vettaville.nl Route

Internet is a great place but where can I find the answers to my Line 6 gear related questions?

Whell take the Vettaville.nl route to help you along

The Backpack

Where to get your answer is what we try to answer provided that:

  • your question is related to Line 6 gear or the Vettaville websites

Internet and websites are constantly adjusted and you can understand that not 'all' the information can be provided here. So it'll never be complete. Vettaville.nl just tries to have the most relatives sites covered and links working, if not please send an email through the above contact mail.

Underneath you can find an explanation on where & how to find these answers to all your questions or where to ask questions.

The Forum route

To get interactive with fellow guitarists or even people from Line 6 you'll need and see the great help of a forum. On the internet there are a lot of them but here we'll stick to (in our opinion) the two most intersting ones.

One thing about the boards and the answers given there, it's a free / public board and everyone can join in. This also means that answers given are from individuals who mean the best and some have great knowledge and supply you with great and fast answers. However there arre people roaming these boards and give their interpertation of the question or discussion at hand. This means that you'll have to take some answers / reactions with a grain of salt (just as in real life).

If you are or becoming a frequent user to these boards you'll get to 'know' these people from their reactions over time. On the other hand if answers or reactions are 'out-of-place' other forum-members will normally comment on the answer or behaviour. In this way you don't get fooled. On the other hand if you just get one reaction and you're not sure this is the right answer post again under the same topic and ask for another confirmation...

First of all the official Line 6 forums. The Line 6 Forums is the place to share tips and tricks with your fellow users, or ask each other questions. It's also a place to just come and hang with other folks that dig Line 6 gear. The main rule there is 'Be Nice'. Enjoy!.

As you will ntice the forum is divided into product sections, so discussions or tips and tricks or relavent to the section you prefer or relate to.

Here's the link to the FAQ of the Line 6 Forums / discussion boards. It gives you the answer to the questions you might have about getting interactive at this board.

One remark; Line 6 hasn't answered questions about unreleased products or development of these, nor did they comment on future upgrades etc.. Info provided by Line 6 at the Line 6 Forums is about released products and not future plans.

Secondly the other discussion forum that has great and helpfull members is the so called Institute of Noise forum. On different websites that link to it you'll see these logo / links

This forum is also divided into product groups. The members on this forum are extremely helpfull and you'll get an answer (normally) within a day, but sometimes within the hour. Each member can post topics (the starter question to provoke reactions or answers to) or react to other posts as in any forum. The forum is sometime also visited by people from Line 6 from time to time.

This forum is not an official Line 6 board but answers, discussions are (normally) highstandard and very helpfull. Here's the link to the FAQ page of the Institute of Noise (shortened ION). If you click once when you've entered it's URL (www.instituteofnoise.com) you'll see this coming up at the top of the page.

Vettaville Webway route

If you wonder what the different Vettaville sites have to do with it, we'll try to provide you with an answer. The Vettaville sites are personal websites and not connected to Line 6 but cover Line 6 products each in their own way. In the next page more on the Vettaville sites and the difference between the two..

vettaville.com

The original idea of Vettaville was born in the mind of Nathan Shane and he created a personal website concerning the Vetta ampliflier. Since this is a great time to be part of (the digital age of modeling) and the new technology Line 6 uses he started an informative website with great info on the tecnology used and what you can achieve with the Vetta amplifier. This turned into www.vettaville.com and provides us with high quality information in word, sound and video.

In May 2004 he stated that his site will purely give information on the Vetta amp and Variax guitar(s). The information provided there is highly recommended by people around the planet.

This site is divided into sections (as almost every site is) and gives you very detailed information on the Vetta amp and Variax guitar(s) The site is subject to change it's appearence and content.

In the summer of 2003 Hans Ligtenberg asked Nathan Shane if it would be allright to register a second Vettaville in The Netherlands, just for the purpose of translating the info provided to Dutch. Permission was granted and translation started. After a short while additional info was added in both English and Dutch. At the present (July 2004) time the Vettaville.nl site changed into something complementary to the Vettaville.com site. Also the look and feel (apart from original logo) has changed during this period.

Vettaville.nl tries to cover the arsenal of all the Line 6 products and info that is scattered over the internet and combines it into one place. This is all done with credit to and permission of the original info providers. Also there's a latest news section that keeps you informed about the latest developments on the Line 6 company, products and issues related to them. This is all done on a daily basis, providing you with a quick overview on the latest news and developments on all Line 6 products en related issues.

This site is divided into sections and provides you with a flash menu that unfolds when you roll over it with your mouse.... To get a complete overview of all the most pages here at Vettaville.nl you can see that in the Site Map
