Here's a small video of the a Fake Nylon sound achieved with the creative use of the Workbench program. This clip was taken during the Line 6 User Group Meeting in Germany in September 2006. Don't get distracted by what you see..., listen... The player, Ron Huisen, is a productspecialist for Line 6, made new patches for his Variax, here's just one of his creations. This Fake Nylon clip can work well inside a complete mix. No, it's not a real nylon guitar but a simulation made with a Variax Workbench program with the use of a Variax Electric and a Vetta patch. Both are downloadable and accompanied by a video clip that shows it played live in a mix.

Part 1 of Jan Akkerman video, checking out Variax Acoustic through a PODxt Live on Bose PS1 part 1 Be aware of the poor sound quality, remember this is taken live during exhabition with no direct plugging into a board. Surrounding sounds and people talking are just taken in. So this live quality of instrument sounds is far from representative. Feel free to visit the Jan Akkerman website Used with permission for Vettaville.nl only |

Nathan Shane (webmaster and creator of the original www.vettaville.com) just raised the bar for creating video's, here's what he says about it: Here's my first new Variax 500 video for all you fellow tech-heads. This is a definitive "behind-the-hardware" video which I put together to help everyone see exactly how the Variax Piezo Bridge & Saddles are put together The video is a little over 8 minutes running time, and 15MB. I suggest that everyone right-click and "save-target-as" to download to your hard drive for viewing rather than streaming off the internet. ENJOY...!!! |

The newly released Variax Acoustic 700, has several Eastern and Western stringed (guitar) instruments in it. Here's a video that overlays some of the models. The video was taken live with a Line 6 Delay Modeler for looping purposes and went strait into an AER acoustic amp. The sound you're hearing is the sound in the room and not plugged in to the amp or mixing console. Click on the picture to view (.wmv 5.34 MB) |
