Preparing to be honest Darrell: First of all, this evening I invite you to be honest with your thoughts and comments. Please do not feel you have to restrain yourself or your passion, tell us how you feel. We, as an organization are very passionate about what we do. We have come to hear some of your stories about Vetta, both in terms of the things that you love and the things that have challenged you over the years. We want to hear everything - so please don't restrain yourself. What I want to do first is to give you an overview of who Line 6 is, how we got here and why we are who we are. If there are any questions during the slides, please ask, as we are happy to address them as we go through this presentation.
From Technology to Tone Darrell: Line 6’s background is in technology - our founders Marcus Ryle and Michel Diodic met up at Oberheim back in the day of the Matrix 12. They have designed and engineered many great products for other companies from Alesis to Dynacord, to Digidesign for many years. Finally they decided to launch their own brand that would to use digital technology to meet the needs of guitarists. Many will remember there first Line 6 product- the Axys212 that came out in 1996. The Axsys was their first attempt to give guitarists the similar access to a wide range of tone that synthesizers provide for keyboardists.
In 1998 one of our more significant products the POD came along and that focused our amp modeling technologies to a product that was really accessible. And for many musicians it specifically met their needs for direct recording. Amp Farm and POD established the presence of Line 6 in production studios both high end studios and project studios. In 2001 we introduced our next generation of modeling technology in Vetta. Vetta amp modeling technology in many other Line 6 products like the PODxt, Flextone, HD 147 and Guitarport.
