PODxt series - V 3.01 Excel Settings Sheet... 12-06-06

PODxt upgrade

Vettaville.nl has been asked several times to have an application where you can write down your settings. Of course you can save your patches via Line 6 edit on your computer but some like to have it on paper aswell.

Matthieu made an Excel document for the new V 3.01 PODxt series update to do just that. It's been automated to some extend, so everything you don't have to enter is pre-loaded. When you've downloaded the document besure to enable the Macro's (you're asked to do so).

All amps, modelpacks and effects are in the 'database' already. Thanks go out to Matthieu once again for adjusting and upgrading his previous version.

PODxt series - V3.0 New Amp model sheet... 26-05-06

PODxt upgrade

A professional looking new Amp sheet has been made by "Charles Obscure" a Channel 6 member. Allthough his 'name' is Obscure the document surely isn't. He also developed this newly added PODxt V3.0 FX sheet. (see topic below)

Almost every Amp in the new PODxt series V 3.0 is depicted including the 3 different amp model packs. The Line 6 models are listed aswell. For those of you that want to easily translate the Line 6 name to the original, don't worry it's in there.

So grab it from Vettaville.nl, print it and hang it on your wall for reference. If you see Charles on the board be sure to thank him for making and sharing this document. Thanks once again Charles Obscure for creating and sharing this .pdf document.

PODxt series - Crazy Train X88R Patches... 16-05-06

PODxt upgrade

Two weeks back we've put up a demo of the Soldano X88R model from the new PODxt V3.0 update. This demo, made by Ben Robbins, captures the flavour quite nicely and many Vettavillians appreciated it. Ozzy fans will recognize this 'Crazy Train' demo.

There have been many requests for the patch of the demo and we've posted a 'general' patch made by Ben's discriptions. As a result of the continuing requests here are the original Rythm and Solo Patch from Ben.

PODxt Pro - New Flash V 3.02 available... 05-05-06

PODxt upgrade

New Flashware has been released today for PODxt Pro. The new Flashware fixes a problem within Flash Memory version 3.01 where loading Bass Expansion Pack Cab Models will trigger spontaneous resets when Digital Audio Input (AES/EBU or S/Pdif) is the system clock reference.

Known issue:
When powering the PODxt Pro on while syncing to an external clock source, it is necessary to reset the clock source selection, regardless of the setting in place before powering down.

PODxt series - V3.0 The Bender - Step by Step... 25-04-06

PODxt upgrade

Here's some explanation to guide you through the use of Line 6's take on the classic Wahm Bham pitch shifting effect, called the Bender. There are three parameters to give you full control:

  • Heel pitch - from -24 to + 24 in 1 semitone increments also known as Heel down pitch shift
  • Toe pitch - from -24 to + 24 in 1 semitone increments also known as Toe down pitch shift
  • Mix - from 0 to 127 also known as Wet/Dry mix

While you would think the Bender to be in the Wah section, it's actually in the Stomp section on your PODxt. Just to give you a quick guide how to find it follow these steps.

  1. Press Edit on your PODxt
  2. Turn your Selectknob clockwise until you'll see stompbox in the display
  3. Press the left (1st) softknob to activate model select
  4. Turn your Effecttweak knob clockwise untill the last page called Bender
  5. Now activate the different (2nd, 3rd, 4th) softknob to adjust your Bender settings
  6. *Set your selected pedal to Tweak
  7. *Set the Tweak parameter to Stomp Posi(tion)

Another way is to do this

  1. Double press Stomp
  2. Press the left (1st) softknob to activate model select
  3. Turn your Effecttweak knob clockwise untill the last page called Bender
  4. Now activate the different (2nd, 3rd, 4th) softknob to adjust your Bender settings
  5. *Set your selected pedal to Tweak
  6. *Set the Tweak parameter to Stomp Posi(tion)

Now your set. If you wanna activate the Bender in a patch or song simply press the stompbox on/off.

TIP: Be sure to have your assigned pedal in a Toe or Heel position before you engage the stompbox that's been assigned. This avoids some 'out of tune' sounds during your performance.

* These options may differ depending on the Floorboard or PODxt (series) unit
